Community Involvement

Subscriber Nights

These provide an informal opportunity for new and returning members of the BTE family, including students and other members of the BTE community, to attend a sneak peek and lively demonstration of one of the elements that inform our upcoming production. Following the demonstration, these events encourage attendees to meet with other patrons and members of the BTE ensemble in the glass lounge, have some coffee and pastries, and discuss what thoughts the demonstration may have brought to mind.

Pre-Show Discussions

Prior to the first Thursday/preview performance of each production, there is a pre-show discussion offering insight and perspective from the director and designers, and their approach to the production. We invite you to join these discussions whether you attend the performance that evening or not; no reservation is necessary. Generally, these discussions occur in MAC 140, but check back with us before you attend.

ASL Performances

On the fourth Thursday evenings of our productions, we have scheduled ASL performances. Interpreters will be located near the stage for patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing, seated in an area of the theatre that gives the best sight lines to follow the interpretation and the action on stage. To access reserved seating in view of the interpreters for a signed performance, call the box office at (630) 942.2141or (630) 858.9692 (TDD) or visit atthemac.org for additional information.
